Royal Docks Summer Splash brings a free open-water lido to Royal Victoria Dock for more than three weeks. The family-friendly area includes lifeguard-supervised swimming, a sandpit, deckchairs and additional free activities.

What can you do there?
The main attraction is the open-water swimming area, but you do not have to swim. There are sandpits, deckchairs, sun-safe areas and a programme of family activities. The dock and nearby cable car also give you a different view of east London.
Important swimming information
Royal Victoria Dock is a working water environment. Do not enter the dock outside the authorised Summer Splash area. Follow the lifeguards and the organiser’s safety instructions, and check any age, ability or capacity rules before joining the water.
Keep the day cheap
Bring a towel, water, sun protection and food rather than relying on nearby restaurants. The surrounding dock is good for a waterside walk, and The Line sculpture trail passes through the area.
