How to claim the Quidco new user bonus

  3. Choose an eligible purchase.

    Find a retailer on Quidco, read its current cashback rate and check every exclusion before continuing.

  4. Click through and shop normally.

    Complete the purchase directly from Quidco in the same browser session without using an unapproved voucher code or another cashback service.

  5. Earn £5 confirmed cashback.

    The tracked amount must eventually be approved by the retailer. Bonuses and free purchases do not count towards the £5 target.

  6. Withdraw your cashback.

    Quidco says the £10 bonus normally becomes confirmed within two to three days after the qualifying cashback is paid.

You must earn £5 cashback—not spend £5

The most important condition is easy to misunderstand. The target refers to the cashback amount, not the value of your order.

For example:

  • at a 1% cashback rate, £500 of eligible spending produces £5 cashback;
  • at a 5% rate, £100 produces £5 cashback; and
  • a fixed £8 cashback offer could clear the target with one eligible transaction.

Rates, exclusions and approval times vary by retailer. Do not spend hundreds solely for the bonus: look for a competitive cashback rate on insurance, broadband, travel or shopping you already intended to buy.

Quidco says the qualifying £5 must come from confirmed purchase cashback. Referral or promotional bonuses do not count, and free transactions are excluded from the referral threshold.

How to help Quidco cashback track

  • Sign in to Quidco before starting the purchase.
  • Read the retailer’s cashback terms and exclusions.
  • Start with an empty basket where practical.
  • Accept the cookies required for affiliate tracking.
  • Pause ad blockers and automatic voucher extensions for the transaction.
  • Use only discount codes shown as compatible on Quidco.
  • Complete the purchase online in the same visit.
  • Keep the order confirmation and a screenshot of the cashback rate.

Cashback often tracks within 72 hours, but confirmation can take much longer. Quidco says referral-bonus completion normally takes around three to six months because the retailer must approve and pay the underlying cashback first.

Quidco Basic or Premium?

Quidco Basic is free. Premium offers higher rates on selected retailers and potentially larger gift-card withdrawal bonuses. Quidco currently retains a £1 monthly membership fee from your cashback in months when you actively use Premium; it says no fee is retained after 30 days without a transaction.

Check which membership is selected when joining. Basic is the simpler choice if you want to avoid a membership deduction, while Premium only makes sense when its extra cashback is worth more than its fees for the way you shop.

Is Quidco better than TopCashback?

There is no permanent winner. Cashback rates and retailer exclusions change, so compare both sites immediately before a planned purchase.
