The quick answer: rent rewards referral codes

There is no single UK app officially called Rent Rewards. People searching for a “rent rewards referral code”, “rent rewards promo code” or “rent rewards app” are usually looking for one of the apps below.

Rent is the biggest bill most Londoners pay. This guide covers Ribbon Rewards, Brick Rewards and Rentd, plus two prize draws that can pay a chunk of your rent if you win.

None of these lower your actual rent amount. They give you gift cards, points or cashback for paying rent the way you already do, or in Rentd’s case, for spending on top of it. As we explain below, Ribbon Rewards and Brick Rewards can be run on the same payment.

Before you use a rent rewards code

  • You need to be a UK renter and complete each app’s identity and eligibility checks.
  • Ribbon: the £25 welcome reward depends on a qualifying rent payment after you open and fund its dedicated account. It is not paid for merely entering the code.
  • Brick: enter the code during sign-up and check the bonus appears. Then link the account from which your rent actually leaves, using Open Banking.
  • Do not switch because of a referral alone. Read the app’s current terms, check the landlord payment details carefully and keep enough money in the account for rent.

Ribbon Rewards: reroute your rent, get about 1% back as gift cards

Ribbon Rewards (run by Scraye) gives you a dedicated rent account. Send your rent there instead of straight to your landlord, and it forwards the payment on while crediting you roughly 1% of it in points, redeemable for retailer gift cards.

Full detail on how the dedicated account works, safety and FSCS protection, and the complete earnings table is in our Ribbon Rewards guide.

Brick Rewards: keep paying your landlord, get points automatically

Brick Rewards doesn’t touch your rent payment at all. It connects to your bank account with Open Banking, recognises the rent leaving it, and awards points you can spend in its rewards catalogue. It also offers optional Experian rent reporting, which can help build a UK credit history.

Full detail on how rent recognition works, the Experian reporting feature and its requirements is in our Brick Rewards guide.

Rentd: points and cashback, but built around a monthly spend tier

Rentd launched in September 2026 with a different model from Ribbon or Brick. You pay rent through a dedicated Rentd account, similar in outline to Ribbon, and separately use a Rentd card for everyday spending. Rewards are structured in three tiers:

Tier Reported monthly minimum Reported rate
Core £500 card spend 1 point per £1
Elite £1,000 card spend 2 points per £1
Zenith £3,000 card spend 3 points per £1

None of the three tiers carries a monthly or annual fee, and Rentd says you keep standard rewards even if you miss a spend target. Points are redeemable for flights, hotels and everyday spend through a built-in travel booking feature. Rentd also has its own referral scheme, worth up to 5,000 points per successful referral by some early reports.

Because it’s so new, treat the exact points and cashback figures above as reported rather than independently confirmed by us, and check the live terms in the app before relying on a specific number.

Using Ribbon Rewards and Brick Rewards together

Yes, you can, and we have tested it ourselves. Ribbon Rewards’ dedicated account forwards your rent to the landlord. If Brick is connected through Open Banking to the account the rent actually leaves, rather than to Ribbon’s dedicated account, it still recognises the payment as rent. You collect Ribbon’s gift-card points and Brick’s points, plus Brick’s optional Experian reporting, from the same monthly payment.

The one thing to get right is which account you connect to Brick. Connect the account your rent actually leaves from, not a Ribbon or Scraye account. Brick reads your own bank statement for the outgoing payment, so it can still identify a Ribbon-routed payment as rent.

Results can still depend on how your own bank labels the payment. If Brick doesn’t pick it up automatically after a payment or two, contact Brick support and point it to the correct transaction.

You can sign up to both straight away to claim each welcome bonus, and use Brick for its everyday-spending points even before your first rent payment goes through. This combination is specifically Ribbon plus Brick; we haven’t tested adding Rentd into the same routine, and its card-spend tiers make it a different kind of setup in any case.

Prize draws for your rent

Two separate prize draws are worth knowing about alongside the guaranteed rewards above, but they aren’t the same kind of “free.”

SpareRoom’s Live Rent Free draw is open to UK renters aged 18+ who haven’t won before. It’s genuinely free to enter with a SpareRoom account, no purchase or points needed, runs every month, and the prize is the cash equivalent of a month’s rent based on SpareRoom’s Rental Index for your postcode. SpareRoom has previously boosted it to a full year’s rent as a special edition; that specific year-long edition we’d tracked closed on 31 August 2026, so treat the monthly draw as the reliable one and any year-long jackpot as an occasional bonus rather than something currently open.

Brick Rewards’ own monthly draw is a lottery, not a free giveaway. One winner each month has up to £1,000 of rent paid, but entering costs points, points you’ve earned from rent and everyday spending and could otherwise redeem for gift cards instead. It doesn’t cost real money to enter, but it isn’t free entry either: you’re choosing to spend points on a lottery ticket rather than banking them.

Gift cards and the one-time setup

Ribbon and Brick both pay out in gift cards and points rather than cash, and both are largely “set up once” tools rather than something you manage every month.

  • Ribbon Rewards: 100 points = £1 in vouchers, redeemable against brands including Amazon, Deliveroo, Nike, Apple, Ryanair, ASOS, Boots, M&S, Netflix and Spotify. Once your dedicated account and standing order are set up, the routine each month is just letting the payment go through and redeeming points when you have enough for a voucher you’d actually use.
  • Brick Rewards: points redeem against a rotating catalogue, food, fitness, local businesses, gift cards and lottery entries into the monthly draw. The one-time step is connecting the bank account you pay rent from via Open Banking; after that, eligible payments are recognised automatically.
  • Rentd doesn’t really fit the “one-time setup” pattern. Its stated rewards depend on hitting a card-spend minimum every single month, so it’s closer to a banking habit you keep up than a set-and-forget account.

Neither Ribbon nor Brick fixes the points-to-£ value forever. Catalogues and rates can change, so check what’s on offer in your account before assuming a figure quoted here still applies.

Which should you actually use?

  • Want the most predictable return and don’t mind rerouting rent? Ribbon Rewards’ roughly 1% back is a known quantity and doesn’t depend on a rewards catalogue.
  • Don’t want to change how you pay your landlord, or want to start building UK credit history? Brick Rewards, especially for its optional Experian rent reporting.
  • Want both? Set Ribbon Rewards up first, then connect Brick to the bank account your rent leaves from rather than to Ribbon’s account. We’ve tested this combination working on the same payment.
  • Already route hundreds or thousands of pounds a month through one card, and want travel rewards on top? Rentd’s tiers could suit you, but only if you’d genuinely hit the £500, £1,000 or £3,000 monthly card-spend threshold anyway. Don’t start spending more just to qualify.
  • Want a free long shot on top of whichever you pick? Enter SpareRoom’s Live Rent Free draw every month. It costs nothing and stacks with either app.

Common questions

What is the best rent rewards referral code in the UK?
There isn’t a single “best” one, it depends whether you want a predictable ~1% back (Ribbon Rewards, code DENID5D5) or points plus optional credit-building (Brick Rewards, code UKMPO7G7). Both are free and covered above.
Can I get cashback on my rent without changing how I pay?
Yes, that’s what Brick Rewards is for. It recognises your existing payment via Open Banking rather than asking you to reroute your rent through a new account.
Can I really use Ribbon Rewards and Brick Rewards together?
Yes. Connect Brick to the bank account your rent actually leaves from, not to Ribbon’s dedicated account, and it can still recognise a Ribbon-routed payment as rent. We’ve tested this ourselves and collect rewards from both apps on the same monthly payment.
Does Rentd have a referral code?
Not one of ours. Rentd’s stated rewards are built around a monthly card-spend minimum starting at £500, which is a different commitment from Ribbon or Brick’s free, no-minimum accounts. It’s still worth knowing about, just check the current tiers and terms directly before joining.
Is Brick Rewards' £1,000 rent draw actually free to enter?
Not exactly. You need points, earned from rent and everyday spending, to buy tickets into the draw. There’s no cash cost, but it does use points you could otherwise redeem for gift cards. SpareRoom’s separate monthly draw is free to enter with no points required.
Is my rent payment safe if I use Ribbon Rewards?
Ribbon’s dedicated account is provided by Griffin Bank, a regulated UK bank, with eligible deposits covered by the FSCS up to £120,000. See our Ribbon Rewards guide for the full safety detail.
Does using Brick Rewards affect my credit score?
Only if you switch on its optional Experian rent-reporting feature. On-time rent reported this way can help build credit history; late or missed rent reported this way can hurt it. See our Brick Rewards guide for the full detail.
Do I need to redo the setup every month?
For Ribbon and Brick, no. Both are a one-time setup, a dedicated account and standing order for Ribbon, or an Open Banking connection for Brick, after which the reward accrues automatically. Rentd is different: its tiers depend on hitting a spend minimum every month.
