(no) Pause: Living Sculpture is a free outdoor performance by Shuyi Alice Wang in Regent’s Park on Saturday 17 October. The artist performs inside a translucent geometric form, turning movement, wind and light into a changing sculpture. Book a free ticket for one of four 30-minute sessions.

What is the performance?

Wang remains rooted to one patch of grass while pivoting, folding and extending within a wearable translucent structure. The form responds imperfectly to the body, while wind, daylight, breath and the park’s own sounds become part of the work. There is no music or soundtrack.

It is presented by Zarastro Art during Frieze Sculpture 2026. The organiser says the exact position within the English Gardens will be announced before the performance, so check the ticket page on the day.

Practical details

This is outdoors, so wear clothing for the weather and allow a little time to find the announced spot. Regent’s Park station is the closest Underground stop; Baker Street and Great Portland Street are other possible walking routes.

No age restriction or detailed accessibility information is published with the booking listing. Contact Zarastro Art before booking if you need to check the ground conditions, viewing position or other access arrangements.
