What is happening?

Try a robotic arm through an Operation-style game, make a soft body-bot inspired by flexible medical robots and watch AI-directed robot football. The evening also includes talks, lab tours, a plant-powered mini droid, a robotic sea turtle, a bar and DJ music.

Imperial describes Lates as a free evening event for adults. Food and drink at the bar are optional extras.

Access and getting there

The event takes place across Imperial’s South Kensington site. South Kensington station is about a ten-minute walk but is not step-free. The organiser says the evening is largely step-free, with accessible toilets on site; Green Park plus the number 9 bus is its suggested fully step-free Tube-and-bus route.

Is Imperial Lates free?
Yes. The Robots event is free, but advance registration is required.
Is it for children?
No. The organiser presents Imperial Lates as an event for adults.
Do I need to spend money at the bar?
No. Drinks are available to buy, but are optional and separate from admission.
