What is happening?

This is the UK debut of the African Food Summit & Expo, taking place during Black History Month. Its theme, Africa’s Food Story: Yesterday. Today. Tomorrow., looks at heritage, technology, sustainability and the future of African food.

The organisers list a keynote, guest speakers, an expert panel, food and culture conversations, networking and an Africa Unity Dish. The central panel asks how technology can help preserve food heritage while building future food systems. A pilot screening of the United by Food documentary is also due to premiere at the summit.

Who is it for?

You do not need to work in the industry to attend. The event is aimed at people interested in African food and culture, as well as food businesses, sustainability, innovation and development.
