How the free tacos work

Arrive at Coyo Taco from 11am and join the queue. The first 20 people each get a Birria Bib, an extra pot of consommé and a free portion of two Beef Birria tacos.

After the bibs have gone, the next 80 people each receive the same free two-taco Beef Birria portion with consommé. Coyo Taco states that the offer is one per person and available only while the 100 portions last.

There is no booking or reservation list. This is a limited-quantity giveaway, so it makes sense to arrive early if it is your main plan for the day.

What is actually free?

Eligible visitors receive two Beef Birria tacos and consommé at no charge. The first 20 eligible people also get a reusable Birria Bib and additional consommé.

Everything else on the menu, including drinks, side dishes and any food ordered after the free allocation has gone, costs extra. Do not rely on being within the first 100 if you arrive later in the day.

Getting there

St James’s Park is the nearest Tube station, served by the District and Circle lines. Coyo Taco is at 2 Orchard Place in The Broadway development, a short walk from the station.

Victoria and Westminster are also walkable, but St James’s Park is the simplest option. If you are queueing outdoors, check the weather and bring an extra layer or waterproof if needed.
