CelebrASIA is bringing a free three-day celebration of South East Asian culture back to Battersea Power Station. Expect live music, dance, DJs, comedy, national-dress parades, an artisan market and more than 35 food and drink traders between Friday 11 and Sunday 13 September 2026.

What can you see for free?

The free programme includes live music, dance and DJ sets, walkabout performers, comedy, national-dress parades and activities introducing the countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.

The Artisan Market returns inside the Turbine Halls, while the food area will bring together more than 35 traders serving dishes, snacks and drinks from across South East Asia. Browsing is free, but set a food budget before visiting because purchases are not included.

Families can look out for the Grand Tour of South East Asia, an interactive trail with information about each country, a quiz and a souvenir passport stamp. The organiser also plans games, crafts, face painting and photo opportunities, although the exact availability can vary by day.

What needs booking or payment?

Do not assume every activity is included simply because the festival has free entry. Selected craft masterclasses, expert panels, cooking classes and film screenings have their own tickets, capacities and prices.

Check the individual listing before travelling for one particular session. The main stages, public performances and general festival areas remain the best option if you want a spontaneous free visit.

When should you go?

The programme runs across Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday, with different activities at different times. Saturday is likely to offer the fullest choice and the largest crowds. Friday can suit an after-work visit, while arriving earlier on Sunday may be calmer for families.

The organiser has not presented the whole weekend as one single set of opening hours, so use the official programme to check the start time of anything you particularly want to see.

Getting to Battersea Power Station

The simplest route is the Northern line to Battersea Power Station, followed by a short walk through the development. Battersea Park railway station is also within walking distance, and Uber Boat by Thames Clippers serves Battersea Power Station Pier.

The festival uses indoor and outdoor areas. Wear comfortable shoes, prepare for the weather and expect security or crowd controls at busy times.

Is CelebrASIA completely free?
The festival is free to enter and its public performances, market and general activities include plenty to enjoy without a ticket. Food, drinks, films and selected workshops or talks may cost extra or require advance booking.
Do I need to book a festival ticket?
No general admission ticket is advertised for the main festival. Book separately only if you want a session that the official programme marks as ticketed.
Is it suitable for children?
