Camden Inspire returns to Camden Collective on Buck Street for a free weekend of climate-themed workshops, talks and creative activities, running Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 September 2026. The festival is built around a community shade structure that visitors help construct, alongside craft sessions, panel discussions and a climate-themed pub quiz.

What is free and what costs money

Entry and browsing are free across both days, including the community build, the exhibition, panel talks, and drop-in sessions like the plastic recycling and natural dye stations. A small number of hands-on workshops, including cyanotype printing, the Lamp Lab and the Sunday foraging walk with basket-building, are priced between £3 and £5 to cover materials, and some of these need booking in advance through the organiser’s site. Everything else, including the poetry sessions and the climate pub quiz, is free to join.

What to expect

The centrepiece is a collaborative build of a moveable shade structure, designed so visitors pick up skills they can use to make their own shade at home or in a local park. Around it runs a full programme: seed bomb making, natural dye experiments, plastic recycling demonstrations, a Central Saint Martins materials exhibition, and two climate panels on Saturday. Saturday evening brings a community feast and the climate pub quiz, while Sunday is quieter and more family-focused, with a foraging walk, food-growing activities, poetry in the park and kids’ theatre.

Getting there and access

Camden Town Underground station is a short walk from Camden Collective on Buck Street, just off Camden High Street. The site sits among Camden’s markets, so it is easy to combine with a browse of the nearby stalls before or after the festival.

The organiser has not published specific accessibility information for this event. If you have access requirements, it is worth messaging the organiser on Instagram (@camdeninspire) before you travel to check the site layout.
