What to expect
The day celebrates culture, community and environmental action through music chosen with communities affected by unequal access to clean air. LIVE + BREATHE is a south London, Black-led climate and social justice collective that uses the arts to make climate action more inclusive.
The event is presented as a relaxed drop-in day rather than a seated concert. All published timings are approximate, so check the official listing if you are travelling for a particular part of the programme.
Getting there and keeping the day cheap
Waterloo is the nearest Tube and rail station, with Embankment across the river another option. The Riverside Terrace is outside on Level 2 of Royal Festival Hall.
Bring water and a weather-appropriate layer. The Southbank Centre is cash-free and has food and drink nearby, but buying anything is optional. A packed snack makes this an entirely free afternoon when combined with a walk along the Thames.
