Kids Week 2026 is now on sale, with more than 50 London shows taking part. Buy one full-price adult ticket and a child aged 17 or under goes free to the same participating performance. You can also add up to two more children’s tickets at half price.

The offer covers selected performances from Monday 20 July to Monday 31 August 2026. Despite the name, Kids Week now lasts throughout much of the school summer holiday.

What is the Kids Week 2026 offer?

For each full-price adult ticket, you can book:

  • One free ticket for a child aged 17 or under
  • Up to two further child tickets at half price
  • No booking or transaction fees on the Kids Week booking

The deal applies only to selected performances and a limited allocation of seats. A show appearing on the Kids Week page does not mean every date or seat is included.

How to book Kids Week tickets

Book the adult-and-child deal

  1. Open the official Kids Week page.

    Use the dedicated promotion rather than the theatre’s ordinary booking page.

  2. Choose a participating show.

    Filter by age guide, matinee or evening, genre and price to find a suitable option.

  3. Select an eligible performance.

    Only dates and times offered through the Kids Week calendar receive the discount.

  4. Select the total number of people.

    For one adult and one child, choose two seats. The seating plan displays the averaged per-seat cost.

  5. Check age guidance and the total.

    Confirm the venue, date, view, party size and full order price before paying.

Which London shows are included?

The 2026 programme has more than 50 choices spanning musicals, plays, children’s productions, dance and live experiences. Examples listed when we checked included:

The live programme is more useful than a static list because dates and availability change as tickets sell. Several productions suitable for younger children have short London runs, while some West End shows are better suited to teenagers.

How much can a family save?

The “free child” applies against a full-price adult ticket, so the cheapest Kids Week pair is not always half the price of the cheapest tickets you could find elsewhere.

Compare the total for your whole party, not the displayed price per seat. For example:

  • One adult and one child pay the price of one eligible full-price adult ticket
  • One adult and three children pay for one adult, one free child and two half-price children
  • Two adults and two children can use two adult-plus-free-child pairs

For a family of four, compare Kids Week with the same show’s family rates, restricted-view seats and other official offers. Kids Week can be excellent value, but a different date or seating area may occasionally cost less.

Tips for finding good seats

  • Search several dates instead of fixing on one Saturday evening.
  • Try weekday matinees, which may have better availability.
  • Use the official site’s age and price filters before opening individual shows.
  • Check the view from the seating area and note any restricted-view warning.
  • Look at running time, interval and finishing time before booking younger children.
  • Check each production’s minimum age; most theatres do not admit babies.
  • Book free workshops or curtain-call activities separately where offered.
  • For access requirements, contact the theatre box office; the promotion’s advance access request window has now passed.

Kids Week questions

What age counts as a child for Kids Week?
Anyone aged 17 or under can use a child ticket. The accompanying full-price adult must be aged 18 or over.
Can one adult take three children?
Yes. With one full-price adult, one child goes free and up to two additional children can attend at half price, subject to availability and the show’s age policy.
Are Kids Week tickets really free?
The child’s ticket is free with a qualifying full-price adult ticket. At checkout, the combined adult price is usually split evenly across the two seats, which can make both tickets appear half price.
Can I book more than ten tickets?
Official London Theatre limits a Kids Week order to ten tickets, with no more than five adult tickets.
Can I use Theatre Tokens?
Yes. Official London Theatre says Theatre Tokens can be redeemed online for a Kids Week booking.
Can tickets be refunded or exchanged?
Tickets are refunded if the performance is cancelled. Exchanges depend on the individual theatre agreeing to one, so treat the booking as non-refundable.
What if Kids Week is sold out for my show?
