Thrift+ is a UK online shop for pre-loved clothes, with brands such as COS, Karen Millen, Mint Velvet and Ganni. Every item is quality checked in its warehouse before it goes on sale. New customers who open our referral link can claim £10 off their first order.
How to get the Thrift+ £10 discount
- Open the referral link.
Use the button above. A pop-up on the Thrift+ site should say “Get your £10 off first order”. Other pop-ups may appear first, so close any that ask for something else.
- Claim your gift.
Enter your email in that pop-up and follow the instructions to get your discount.
- Fill your basket.
Each item is one of a kind, so buy what you like soon rather than leaving it to sell.
- Check the total.
Make sure the £10 has come off at checkout before you pay. The page we checked did not state a minimum spend or expiry date, so look out for any conditions when your discount appears.
£10 off or 15% off?
Thrift+ also offers 15% off your first order if you sign up to its emails. Do not assume the two can be combined. The maths is simple: 15% only beats £10 once your items cost more than about £67.
| Items in your basket | £10 referral | 15% welcome offer | Better choice |
|---|---|---|---|
| £25 | £10 off | £3.75 off | Referral |
| £50 | £10 off | £7.50 off | Referral |
| £67 | £10 off | £10.05 off | About the same |
| £100 | £10 off | £15 off | Welcome offer |
These sums assume each discount applies to the full item price, before delivery.
Delivery and returns
- Standard delivery: £4.95 in England, Wales and Scotland, usually 3 to 5 working days.
- Express delivery: £6.95 in England and Wales, in under 2 working days.
- Northern Ireland, Channel Islands and Isle of Man: £9.95 for standard delivery.
- Returns: you have 30 days from purchase, but you pay for return postage and do not get it back.
- Returning part of an order: if what you keep no longer qualifies for a promotion, Thrift+ may take the lost discount out of your refund.
So on a £25 basket with standard delivery, you would pay £19.95 after the £10 comes off.
Is it worth it?
Pros
- £10 is a big saving on low second-hand prices.
- Items are quality checked before they are listed.
- 30-day returns, which many second-hand sellers do not offer.
- You can search by brand and size from home.
Cons
- Delivery costs £4.95 or more.
- You pay for return postage.
- You cannot try anything on before it arrives.
- The 15% offer is better on larger orders.

Thrift+ questions
Do I need a Thrift+ discount code?
Not to start. Open the link and claim the gift in the pop-up, then follow the instructions you are given. Check that the £10 shows at checkout before you pay.
Can I use it if I have shopped with Thrift+ before?
Do not count on it. The offer is described as £10 off your first order, so it is meant for new customers.
What if the pop-up does not appear?
Try opening the link again in a private window, and close any other pop-ups first. If it still does not appear, contact Thrift+ before you order, because the discount may not be added later.
Can I sell my own clothes on Thrift+?
Yes. You send your clothes in a Thrift+ bag and it handles the photos, listing and posting. You are paid in credits rather than cash: 10% on items sold for £4.99 or less, 20% from £5 to £49.99, and 40% on items above £50.
