New and qualifying returning People’s Postcode Lottery players can receive a £15 gift card after joining through a referral and taking part in their first paid draw. This is a paid lottery for adults in Great Britain, not a free-entry promotion.

Who can use the Postcode Lottery referral?

You need to be 18 or over, live in Great Britain and meet Postcode Lottery’s normal player requirements. Northern Ireland is excluded.

The reward is intended for:

  • Someone joining People’s Postcode Lottery for the first time.
  • A previous player who has not played for at least 24 months.
  • Someone who signs up through the referral process and then participates in their first eligible paid draw.

The referrer and new player must use different email addresses. Postcode Lottery can refuse an application or reward where its conditions have not been met.

How to get the £15 gift card

People's Postcode Lottery referral steps

  1. Open the referral invitation.

Use the button above so the referral journey is attached from the beginning.

  2. Enter your email address.

Mention Me manages the referral registration and will send service emails connected with the reward.

  3. Continue to Postcode Lottery.

Complete the player application and choose “Been referred?” when it appears during sign-up.

  4. Enter the referral name.

Use the name displayed below if the form asks who referred you.

  5. Take part in the paid draw.

The gift card is not earned merely by registering. You must successfully play in the first qualifying draw.

  6. Claim the reward promptly.

Check your email after the draw and follow the gift card selection instructions before the claim link expires.

What referral name should I enter?

If the sign-up form asks for the full name of the person who referred you, enter the name shown in this image:

Following the referral link first is the safest route because it keeps the invitation attached to your visit. The name is provided as a fallback for the “Been referred?” field.

Which £15 gift cards can you choose?

The current reward selection includes well-known retailers such as Tesco, M&S, John Lewis, Boots, Odeon and Deliveroo. The exact selection can change, so check the choices shown when your claim becomes available.

Current players can receive up to five £15 referral rewards per calendar year, worth up to £75 in total. That limit applies to the referrer. A newly referred player receives one £15 reward after completing the qualifying draw.

Reward emails can take a few weeks because eligibility is checked after the draw. Claim links and the chosen gift card can have separate expiry dates, so do not leave either unused.

Is the Postcode Lottery referral worth using?

If you have already decided to join, using a valid referral is better than signing up without one because it adds the £15 gift card. It is not a reason to start playing if the monthly cost does not suit your budget.

Lottery play should be treated as entertainment rather than a way to make money. There is no guarantee that your postcode will win, and the referral reward does not change the odds.

People’s Postcode Lottery referral questions

Is there a Postcode Lottery referral code to copy?
There is no normal letters-and-numbers voucher code. Start through the referral link and use the displayed referral name if the “Been referred?” field asks for it.
When will the £15 gift card arrive?
Postcode Lottery checks that the referred player successfully participated in the first paid draw. The reward email may therefore arrive several weeks after sign-up, depending on the draw date.
Can an existing player get the new-player reward?
A current player cannot use the new-player reward. The published referral conditions allow a former player who has not played for at least 24 months to qualify, provided all other conditions are met.
Can people in Northern Ireland join?
No. Postcode Lottery states that play is not available in Northern Ireland. The referral requires the new player to be resident in Great Britain.
Does the gift card make playing risk-free?
No. A ticket currently costs £12.50 each month, while the referral provides one £15 gift card after the qualifying draw. Continuing to play will cost more, and winning is never guaranteed.
