Which day should you choose?

Sunday 30 August includes J’ouvert and the Children’s Day Parade, alongside sound systems and stages. It is the better starting point for families and first-time visitors who want the daytime atmosphere.

Monday 31 August is the main Adults’ Parade. It is louder and usually busier, with costumed bands, floats and sound systems filling the route.

Neither day is quiet. Arrive near the start if you want more room, and agree on a meeting point before entering the busiest streets because mobile reception can become unreliable.
